Selected work

Cinemas.

A short selection of recent rooms. Each was a different brief — a different house, a different family, a different idea of what a cinema room is for — but the same way of working sits behind all of them.

Steinway Lyngdorf home cinema in a renovated room near Bath — wide shot of the finished theatre.

Midford · Steinway Lyngdorf Theatre · 2025

Midford — Steinway Lyngdorf Theatre

A professional-grade dedicated cinema, built into a full interior renovation near Bath, around a Dolby Atmos Steinway Lyngdorf system. The brief asked for a room that would handle both feature-film viewing and the owners' work in film and television production — reference-grade headroom and clarity, without the room ever feeling clinical.

Specification

  • Dolby Atmos surround, full Steinway Lyngdorf system
  • RoomPerfect digital room correction, calibration in-house
  • Acoustic plan integrated with the wider renovation
  • Lighting and finishes coordinated across the room scheme

Bath · Award-Winning Garage Cinema · 2024

Bath — Award-Winning Garage Cinema

A dedicated reference cinema in Bath, built into an unwanted garage shell. The owners had seen another of our cinemas at a previous client’s, and visited our showroom; the brief that followed was uncompromising — modest in footprint, not in performance.

Specification

  • Wisdom Audio Sage Line 2 — front three channels
  • Wisdom Audio P4i — side and surround
  • StormAudio Core 16 AV processor
  • Innuos Zen Mini Mk3 with linear power supply — music streaming

Home cinema in Bath converted from a former music rehearsal room — Wisdom Audio and Barco system.

Bath · Cinema in a Former Music Room · 2023

Bath — Cinema in a Former Music Room

A dedicated cinema turned out of a disused music rehearsal room in a private Bath home. The owners had an equal love of films and music, and the design had to serve both — décor and lighting that read warmly for either; audio that delivered cinematic immersion without diluting the stereo front-stage that music could earn.

Specification

  • Wisdom Audio L75 — front three channels (left, centre, right)
  • Wisdom Audio P4i — surrounds
  • Wisdom Audio STS Jewel — 15-inch transmission-line subwoofer
  • Wisdom Audio power amplification

Wales · Attic Cinema · 2025

Wales — Attic Cinema

A dedicated cinema turned out of a previously unused attic storage room, in a private home in Wales. Turn-key from interior design and joinery through to acoustic calibration — every trade coordinated under one roof. The acoustic plan led the architecture, not the other way round; the room is treated to 40 Hz.

Specification

  • Anthem MRX 740 AV processor
  • Epson LS12000 4K laser projection
  • Acoustic treatment to 40 Hz
  • REW measurement + ARC calibration

More cinemas, more often than the website shows.

We don't publish every cinema we build — many clients prefer their projects to stay private. If you'd like to see further work that isn't on the site, ask. We can share imagery and detail under NDA where the owner is comfortable.
